Tuesday January 16 was the date in my memory. That was the day that the Hållsta Suite I wrote was being played by the musicians for the first time. I had the great intention to really make sure that I would be ready with this composition. Because working with “drafts” is always so confusing, and often often leads to strange errors. B.v. that some of the musicians are still reading in a 1.0 version, etc. Moreover, it is a waste of all the paper. Incidentally, of course, that does not mean that no improvements or suggestions can be made. The potty is patient in the end.
The rehearsal went great, and although the orchestra was not completely complete yet, the contours of the piece were already visible. And I must say that to great satisfaction. What a force there is in that orchestra. What is well read and beautifully made music. Really very honorable to be able to study this piece with that caliber musicians. Hans Lass takes the first three rehearsals from me, so that I can fully focus on the sound of the band.
